Men's Rites of Passage 2010

What each man can expect

Men who come to our meetings, can expect to be:

  • provided with a safe place to be free to be who they truly are,
  • where they can share without expecting to receive judgement or feedback,
  • where they receive recognition that they have been heard by the group
  • where there is respect given for their different perspectives and opinions.
  • where they will be directed in lifelong spiritual learning such that they can grow to become
    • elders,
    • leaders in their families and communities and
    • mentors for the future generations.

What's expected from each man

Each man is encouraged:

  • to share openly where he is at in his life's journey
  • to be vulnerable, e.g. being real, honest with no need to pretend
  • to have an openness to silence
  • to be open to participating in the activities of the group
  • to desire to seek out an inner wisdom that gives meaning and energy to life.
  • to be respectful of other men's differences
  • to respect confidentially
